Costa Rica’s landmass only takes up 0.03% of the planet, but it is home to more than 5% of the world's biodiversity. However, environmental forces either uncontrollable or man-made have wreaked havoc on many of the species that make up this biodiversity and have destroyed much of their natural habitats.
Indigenous wildlife animals are often left with very little options when facing problems like deforestation and climate change. That’s what makes the work being done at the Rescue Center so very important. These animals now have a place which provides food, shelter and medicine while they recover.
The government of Costa Rica does not provide any funding for this project. The Rescue Center is funded 100%from generous supporters like you who believe in planet earth and Costa Rica's cherished wildlife. When you make a contribution to the Rescue Center you ensure a future for the imperiled wildlife.
