Make a difference for as little as $1 a month. Say hi to Anne-Marie, one of our newest spectacle owls. The beautiful but severely injured owl was received at Rescue Center in December 2020 and named after one of our volunteers at the time, Anne-Mari from Atlanta, Georgia.
Spectacle owls are common in Central America and inhabit the cloud forests in countries like Costa Rica.
Anne-Marie only has 1 eye and one wing. She was hit by a car in Zurqui, Costa Rica, and taken to another Rescue Center. They sent her to us since they were at full capacity.
As a result of her injuries, she will never be released but our vet team, volunteers, and interns will ensure she lives an amazing life. She already has two good friends who will be going up on the website this week.
