Make a difference for as little as $1 a month. Athos, Porthos, and Aramis, our three birds of prey, and also named after 'The Three Musketeers' were brought to us recently from another operation. We named them ourselves because of their closeness and built them a really cool enclosure next to the owls.
For the most part, they are very calm and beautiful but they are missing limbs and have other injuries, and will not be able to fly in the future. It's our job to make sure they are fed well and have some amazing enrichment to keep them happy on a daily basis.
The story we heard is they were all hit by cars which caused the severity of the injuries. The good news right now even with the injuries they are healthy and very happy to be together as a family."One for all and, all for one"
