Say hello to Condorito. He was named after a cartoon created by the Chilean cartoonist René Ríos, also known as Pepo. Although the cartoon was created in Chile he became very popular throughout Latin America.
He was brought to Rescue Center Costa Rica in March by the OIJ, which are the local police task force. They had raided a house and found the baby and decided to bring him to us to administer proper care. The people who were raided are still under investigation.
Although he looks unhealthy and a perhaps sick he is perfectly normal. Baby parrots look like this before they develop their feathers. Every day he looks better and better.
The best part of all we have 70+ parrots already at Rescue Center so he is going to have tons of friends to speak with until he is released.
