Csorike is one our cute little parakeets at Rescue Center Costa Rica. He was brought to us after being kept as a pet and given a horrible diet his entire life. The results of the diet caused his feathers to fall out from his body specifically in his stomach area and the back side of his legs. The veterinarians as they always do immediately changed his diet and started feeding him healthy peanuts and other nuts. We are happy to say the feathers are returning and he has lots of new friends to ensure his days are filled with happiness.
His name "Csorike" means Tweety Bird in Hungarian. He received the name from our Hungarian coordinator, Lilla, who has worked very hard to get him back to perfect health.
