Costa Rican Tours
Travel - Volunteer Abroad
When you travel and volunteer abroad it is often an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. During your stay Rescue Center Costa Rica wants you to not only experience our project and the animals but also all the many fun and exciting things about our country. Therefore, we schedule weekly tours to many different tourist destinations throughout the country.
The tours include but are not limited to Jaco Beach where you can ride ATV’s and Canopy Tours (zip lines), Manuel Antonio National Park where you can tour the rainforest or relax on the beach, the Monterverde Cloud Forest where you can enjoy the hanging bridges, and Arenal Volcano where you can submerge yourself in the warm, beautiful hot springs.
The day of your tour you will wake up early and enjoy breakfast before jumping into one of the private buses. We will provide you a lunch to take along and we will save you dinner for when you arrive back home safely. The pricing for transportation does vary and is announced at the beginning of the week.
Rescue Center charges a transportation fee but the tours are paid directly by you to the tour companies once you arrive at your destination. The tours are fun, safe and will give you an up-close and exciting view of our amazing country and experience life as you never have before will leave you with lifelong memories.
Every week during sea turtle nesting season we arrange turtle tours to different beaches throughout Costa Rica. The tours are either 2-3 nights depending on the location of the beach. The price we charge is all-inclusive and covers transportation, lodging, and food. We have a dedicated coordinator who will travel with you and your group to ensure that your excursion is safe and well-organized. The beaches of Costa Rica are the nesting grounds for Olive Ridley, Hawksbill, Green and Leatherback sea turtles. The experience is second to none and will not easily be forgotten. The management team decides on Monday of each week which beaches we will travel to depending on the feedback we receive from the coordinators who run the individual projects. During your stay at Rescue Center, all you need to do is sign-up before Wednesday and be ready to have an experience of a lifetime.
