Lucy, a two-toed sloth, was brought to us from another Rescue Center here in Costa Rica during COVID-19. She arrived in December 2020 with another sloth named Maui. The unique thing about Lucy is that she is missing her left arm and her right finger. As everyone knows sloths love to climb. To be in the trees and climb truly makes them happy. The fact the Lucy has a missing left arm and the right finger has not deterred this beautiful ambitious sloth from doing what she loves most. She still has a right arm and two strong legs to ensure she can climb the trees she needs to in order to find those delicious cecropia leaves which are so important to her diet. Obviously, she is un-releasable but we promise to make sure with the help of donors and volunteers that she will receive the very best life for the remainder of the time she is with us. We hope that's for many years to come. We are happy to have her here as part of our family. Welcome home, Lucy!
